In April 2013 Caledonia commenced work on behalf of LendLease at Joondalup Shopping Centre as part of a $300 million redevelopment, including new shops and a four-storey car park.
When complete the car park will deliver approximately 900 car bays, giving the shopping centre a total of approximately 5,000 bays by February 2014.
The highly anticipated redevelopment will see the shopping centre expand from 71,000 square metres to 96,000 square metres. On completion, Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City will become the largest shopping centre in Western Australia.
To date, Caledonia has erected over 500 tonnes of scaffolding, including heavy-duty engineered gantries with 10kpa ratings. Additionally, all work was completed in one-meter lifts to eliminate the need for a harness and reduce the risk of working at heights.
