Here at Caledonia, 2018 has been a year filled with hard work, awesome achievements, expansion and new projects. Though this year is coming to an end, we look forward to working even harder into 2019, and will continue to update you on the exciting events that lay ahead.
Caledonia NZ achieves top rating SiteWise Accreditation
SiteWise is a pre-qualification system that grades a contractor’s health & safety capability and publishes that grade in a database that can be viewed by main contractors and principal organisations.
All contractors who sign up to the SiteWise system complete an annual health and safety assessment with the goal of achieving SiteWise Green status.
A green grading in SiteWise means Caledonia NZ has achieved a grade of 75% or above in our annual assessment.
Getting to green means:
- We have demonstrated that we have quality health and safety systems in place,
- Caledonia NZ will be listed as a Green Business in the database viewed by all principals that use SiteWise as a prequalification tool, which is essential for tender prequalification with many top tier clients.
This is another positive step forwards for the NZ business as we continue to grow our market share across industry sectors in the North Island.
Work completed for All Type Engineering at Bibra Lake
Caledonia Group Cladding & Insulation division have recently completed works for All Type Engineering at Bibra Lake. The work was completed on the gas skid, where our crew provided a combination of Pyrogel Insulation with Aluminium Cladding.
It was a neat and tidy job and our second project with All Type, and we look to continue to grow the working relationship.
Quality time with clients
Caledonia NZ Client Fishing Charter
Caledonia NZ entertained some of its clients recently on a fishing charter north of Auckland.
Despite the inclement weather, everyone had some degree of success and went home with both a decent haul of fresh fish and a big smile on their faces.
Thanks to everyone who attended and to Marc Barton for arranging the event and bringing in the catch of the day!
Caledonia entered a team in the Tough Mudder challenge held on Sunday 18 November in Glenworth Valley, NSW. The Caledonia team were joined by awesome client, CDSJV, in the 16-kilometre mud and obstacle course, which is designed to test you mentally and physically. The team-oriented challenge saw the group finish in around two hours and they celebrated with a beer at the finish line.
“The Caledonia team carried the CDJSV boys through the event but always stayed that little bit in front.”
