Caledonia has a unique Labour Agreement with the South Australian Government that allows us to engage – each year – highly skilled, qualified Scaffolders from the UK under a four-year Temporary Skills Shortage visa (subclass 482). This has allowed us to embed highly talented employees amongst our most important regional maintenance contracts right across Australia. Caledonia recognised that Scaffolders do not appear on the skilled shortages occupation lists and worked directly with the South Australian government to implement our Labour Agreement which is unique across the scaffolding industry. Today, some of our employees are on their subsequent 482 visa, with some even being offered business sponsored Permanent Residency opportunities.
We also encourage experienced Scaffolders on Working Holiday visas (subclass 417) to come and work with us. We have regular shutdown and project work across Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory that will allow you flexibility to explore the country at the same time.
